Starry Night

Our second topic has been Starry Night. We have thought about astronauts and we watched Tim Peake launch into space! 
We created our own Starry Night pictures by looking at Van Gogh's work. We also looked at the history of space travel. We found out that Buzz Aldrin visited the moon!
This week, we made our own rockets and we flew them outside. Today we have made crazy aliens and tested how to make the biggest alien shadow!

Zoo

We have now settled in to Year 1 and really enjoyed our first topic: Zoo.

We visited Woburn Safari Park on a very wet day - but still got to see lots of animals like giraffes, monkeys and lions. We even got to stroke a snake!

We created zebra pictures and made model snakes from clay. Now we are starting to think about our new topic: Starry Night.
